 Christmas Cavalcade - Saturday 23rd

November 2019 

Pontypool Community Council will be holding it's Annual Christmas Cavalcade on Saturday 23rd November 2019.

Staff a busy organising this event and more information will be available soon.

Visit Santa in his Grotto for free, meet your favourite TV and Film Characters, lots of dance and music performances on the main stage plus lots more entertainment throughout the town. The day culminates with a parade through the town then the Christmas Light switch on.

 

 

 

 



Photo competition results 2019:

 The Council held a photo competition earlier this year and the theme was History and Heritage of Pontypool.  

The results were as follows:

1st Place

 3rd Place

 Mr Yoan Jones

 

  Well done to all who submitted entries. 

 


 

 Tree of the year competition

Pontypool  Park's Sweet Chestnut tree has  won the Woodland Trust's tree of the year competition and the prize is £1000 that needs to be spent on the tree.

The tree is a Sweet Chestnut which is located in Pontypool Park and is over 400 years old.
