Pontypool Community Council - Date of Next Meeting

To view the agenda for this meeting please click on the Council toolbar at the top of this page then choose the relevant committee from the options on the toolbar on the left hand side of the page.  All meetings start at 6.30pm (unless stated otherwise) and are held in our Council Chamber at 35a Commercial Street, Pontypool.

 The next Committee meeting will be Full Council which will take place on Wednesday 27th  March  2019 at 6.30pm 


Inter School's Eisteddfod 2019

On Wednesday 20th March and Thursday 21st March Pontypool Community Council held their annual Inter School's Eisteddfod.  The following schools participated in the event:

Cwmffrwdoer Primary

George Street Primary

New Inn Primary

Penygarn Community Primary

Garnteg Primary

Griffithstown Primary

Ysgol Bryn Onnen

Ysgol Panteg

The Children participated in several solo singing, solo recitation, group recitation, instrumental, folk dancing and choir categories all in the medium of welsh.

The event was a huge success and everyone enjoyed the two days.

The winners were:

Infants - joint 1st  - New Inn Primary and Griffithstown Primary                                                             2nd          - Garnteg Primary                                                                                                                      joint 3rd - Ysgol Bryn Onnen and Cwmffrwdoer Primary

Juniors - 1st - Griffithstown                                                                                                                                2nd - New Inn                                                                                                                                               3rd - George Street

Congratulations to all who took part and thank you to all who helped with the event.
