Monday 19th August 2013 was the start of "Youth Festival week" which saw ten children from Pontypool, Bretten, Longjumeau and Condeixa come together at Hilston Park for a week of fun, whilst building new friendships and experiencing other cultures.

The itinerary for the week was ACTION PACKED including a visit to St. Fagan's Folk Museum, Big Pit and Cardiff Bay and a variety of adventure activities including doughnuts on Pontypool Ski Slope, canoeing, mountain biking, climbing, Tae Kwo, Bokwa and Film Making.

The week finished with a conference held on the Saturday morning which saw two young people from each country join adult delegates to discuss " The year of the Citizen."

On Saturday evening  a celebration evening was held at Garndiffaith Millennium Hall where youth and adults enjoyed a meal and disco plus the film the youth had produced during the Festival week was aired for all the guests to enjoy.
